ANZAC Day; lest we forget

Today we remember those who gave their lives for their country, the ANZAC soldiers. Lest we forget. For some of us, our freedom we have today came from these people who fought for us and their country.

Dreams- why so random?

Hello Internet!!

Nothing much has happened since I dyed my hair; but I did decode some messed up dreams I had a few weeks ago and I've been checking out two hot nerds.

So let's talk dreams. The weird dreams I had included: one about spiders, one about me going to the dentist and one about one of the hot nerds (we'll call them Matt* and Andy*); Matt.
According to this book I came across, it told me that:
  • When you dream about a spider/spiders, it can make a reference to the Internet (world wide web) or global communication. The only significant thing involving the Internet during the past month has been this blog, and a week before that dream, I had started this blog. It can also mean something about re-threading your life and change, so fingers crossed it's a good change!!
  • When you dream about teeth or dentists or getting your teeth pulled out, it can mean that you're concerned about the condition of your teeth, or you need help with your "bite", or your assertive side. I am actually a bit annoyed with my teeth as one needs to be pulled out, and I also think I should be a little less assertive.
But what the book failed to tell me is what does a dream about someone you like mean? It could tell me what a husband dream meant, and a lover dream, but nothing about people you have a crush on. So if any of you know anything about these kinds of dreams, please let me know in the comments below!

So if you have any advice about boys, dreams or if you want me to talk about a certain topic, let me know in the comments below.

*Matt and Andy aren't their real names. If they ever read this blog, I don't want them yelling at me and therefore ending the relationship before it began, but if you guys are actually reading this, are you taking the hint?

Why I heart my new black hair

Bonjour Internet,

Yesterday I dyed my hair black, and it was one of the best things I've ever done. Because it's made me feel different; more confident, less dorky, more pretty and more pretty.

I say it makes me feel more pretty because now I can pull off looks that brown haired people can't do very well some of the time (no offence, I love you all!) and deep down, I've always wanted Goth hair.

Don't ask me how black hair makes me feel more confident, because even I don't know why! All I know is that everytime I look at my reflection, I say "Damn girl, you are awesome" and get the feeling that I could take on the world.

And other cool things about my black hair include:
  • I can now act like an emo/Goth and get away with it
  • It looks more shiny
  • Many sex symbols have/had black hair: Megan Fox, Elizabeth Taylor (in her heyday), The Kardashians (personally I don't like them at all, but they do have black hair and some think they are sexy), Katy Perry, and some others.
  • Girls with black hair are considered deep and smart.

I would post more about my awesome new hair, but I have articles about hair to read on All Women Stalk before I go to bed.

Chaotic past 3 days; I just had some

Hey Internet,

I have just had the most chaotic past 3 days ever! To sum it all up, I:
  • Fell in love with Doctor Who (Matt Smith is a beast!)
  • Entered the 2012 Dolly Model Search, and lost State Finalist to someone with huge teeth
  • Saw The Hunger Games
But now, I'll talk about the model competition. Once I joined this giant line, I noticed that a lot of girls looked like street signs; tall and scarily skinny. And after waiting for what must have surely been hours, I came up to a desk, recieved a sticker with a number on it, and I was subdued to MORE waiting and intimidation from street signs. Then I was called up to this stage-y thing, and after some walking up and down th stage-y thing and introducing myself to the judges ("I like cats. And sharks. Oh you like sharks too? That's epic! And everyday, I always have to make someone smile. Or laugh"- my exact words :|) , I was then called offstage, given a free bag of pretty cool stuff, and dismissed. After thinking 'Well this is s**t', for a minute, I calmed my farm and thought; 'If they're gonna be looking for real girls, and I'm as real as you can get, and I don't get into the finals at least, well then this whole thing is just a waste of my precious time'. Needless to say, I won't be buying Dolly magazine for a long time...
