Bonsoir guys,
Today, Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, has died. To walk on the moon was (and still is) huge and the fact that this man had the courage to get in a rocket, travel many thousands of kilometres away from his home planet and walk about on a big-ass rock in space, is uber impressive. Of course, there were many other astronauts and cosmonauts who acheived inspirational things years ago, and are either dead or living on as legends, so I would also like to dedicate this post to them. To the brave men, women and animals who acheived these extraordinary feats, to their families, friends and people who supported them, to the scientists and so many others......
Space exploration is a hard thing to do. Without the courage of men like Neil Armstrong, Yuri Gagarin and so many others, our knowledge of the universe surrounding our planet would be quite, well, small.
In other news, I have been watching the amazing British comedy: Blackadder. Words can't describe how unbelievably funny, witty, informative, hilarious and full of humour this show is. I know it's old, not seen on TV these days, but it is, without a doubt, one of the best TV comedies I have ever seen. I love comedy. To me, a life without laughter can be compared to a heart without a beat; pointless and cold.
And this is why there should be more people watching shows like Summer Heights High, Mr Bean, Blackadder, Mrs Brown's Boys, The Big Bang Theory, We Can Be Heroes, 2 Broke Girls, South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy and countless other comedic gems instead of rubbish like The Vampire Diaries and other TV shows that fail to produce so much as a giggle.
Also, I have been trying to teach myself to sing the Israeli national anthem, 'Hatikvah', because it sounds amazing and because the French one is too long and I can't pronounce everything. So far, there has been no success, but I am determined to get it right.
If you guys have any tips on how to memorise songs, any ideas for posts or if you're commenting one of those things that will get your crush to kiss you in 5 days by reposting, let me know in the comments below.
