Salut guys,
These days, when I'm not at school, watching TV, fighting zombie ninjas, breathing or writing blog posts, I'm usually reading. And I've been reading a lot lately, in particular books with supernatural/paranormal themes. I don't know what's brought all this supernatural reading on, but I'm not complaining. So far, all the books I've read recently (the last two weeks counts as recent, right?) include:
Unfortunately, those were all the books I borrowed to last for the rest of the holidays, so tomorrow I'm off to the library... again.
Some of my mates, the ones who live in Generation i, think I'm insane because I read normal books as opposed to ebooks. And they also think I'm insane because I like reading for entertainment. I know I should probably disown them for judging my insanity, but I don't care. They're my mates anyway, and each to their own.
If you're wondering why I read real books over ebooks, my reason is explained in this uber mad quote from the late Ray Bradbury: 'I still love books. Nothing a computer can do can compare to a book. You can't really put a book on the Internet. Books smell good. They look good. You can press it to your bosom. You can carry it in your pocket. All the computer can give you is a manuscript. People don't want to read manuscripts, they want to read books.'
If you've got any ideas for my holiday reads, any posts or you want to know why I secretly fight zombie ninjas in my spare time, let me know in the comments below.
Au revoir, Vivmarie1407

- Zombies Vs Unicorns- Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier
- Liar- Justine Larbalestier
- Paranormalcy, Supernaturally- Kiersten White (Supernaturally is the amazing sequel to Paranormalcy)
- Beatle Meets Destiny- Gabrielle Williams
- Scatterheart- Lili Wilkinson
