Ciao guys,
Does anyone get the feeling that life is more interesting inside our heads? That situations could end in an infinite number of ways, that expectations could be lived up to 100%? Or is that just me?
When I allow my sudden creativity to be exposed to pen+paper or keyboard, I either think "this is just pure genius" or "what in the name of chai tea have I done?" Every innermost thought is the same; every urge to say something I want to, is fortunately controlled by the dictator known as The Inner Voice Of Reason. Sometimes it's right to listen to it and it saves you from turning into a social lemon, but sometimes it's wrong and you become a social tomato.
Before I proceed with my post, I would just like to mention the definitions of social lemon and social tomato:
Social Lemon: a person who is prone to moments of social awkwardness and stupidity at the wrong times. Usually accepted back into society after apologising. These people are classified as social lemons because they are 100% adored by insane yet wonderful people and seen as odd by everyone else.
Social Tomato: a person who surpasses the Social Lemon in stupidity and awkwardness, hence the reason why no social tomatoes have a social life. These people are classified as social tomatoes due to the reason that the common tomato may be seen as a fruit, many know it to be a closet vegetable but cannot find concrete evidence to support this. Therefore they don't fit in as a fruit or vegetable and social tomatoes don't fit in as a person or a lifeform.
So weird new words aside, I've had many high expectations of everyone else in my life for years now. And it has always been upsetting when my expectations of things are never lived up to. And for all I know, it's the same with everyone else.
So don't expect a unicorn when you might just be getting a horse. Don't expect the ocean when you're destined to get a river. Because you'll be let down and it will hurt. You might not even like the idea of being stuck with a horse and you might think you'll never love that river like you would an ocean.
But this is why you learn to be grateful for stuff. And if you still find it hard accepting a not-quite bitter reality, give it time. You'll learn to appreciate the full beauty of that river.
In other news, I have taken up playing the clarinet again and I'm reading the literary classic 'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee. Even though I had heard nothing but praise for it, I was expecting it to be a pebble of a book, but truth be told, it'ssolid gold!! a very good book and I'm only up to Chapter 9. As an avid supporter of good literature, I would recommend it to anybody in need of something to read a book to pass the time.
Now one more topic of interest before I succumb to sleep: the gay marriage legislation in the United Kingdom.

If the votes are successful, the UK will become one of few countries that legalise gay marriage. If not, it remains the same. This week, I'm bringing in a survey poll and it would be beyond remarkable if you responded! I would also love to know your honest opinions on the whole gay marriage debacle. Remember:
