Doomsday Bells and Revelations

If you're still one of the few people that believe that the end is nigh, you probably had a conniption when you read the title of this post.
Or if you're one of the people who read my blog, you might have had a conniption because this is the first post in quite a while...
I have to apologise about the lack of postage; I have been busy doing things like exams, sleeping, watching Downton Abbey, cleaning my room, reading twisted history novels and socialising with my friends. And when I did have a free moment, I had nothing good to write about.

However I've got a dilemma in my social circle and a preachy moment I had to write down, so hopefully this post will break your fast.

Yesterday in a very large library, a not very well hidden secret was exposed by me and two other dear friends of mine. And while it seemed to be a likely story, it was still highly shocking.
This secret has now formed into a complex dilemma that later had doomsday bells ringing in my head= for what in the name of owls are we to do for this complicated situation?

(Brace yourself, here's the preachy part) But later, as I was blowing people up in Call of Duty; Black Ops 2. it suddenly dawned on me that nothing is ever really impossible. Sometimes there may be revelations that negatively astound you. And sometimes there is a confirmed  suspicion that you dismissed for so long. And it may seem problematic and the doomsday bells may be ringing, but there isn't ever a situation that is impossible to fix. We say that things are only impossible and far too complicated when the doomsday bells ring. But to fix the impossibly complex, shut those damn bells out with a loud anthem of happiness. Then anything can happen.

And as I sit here, having listened to a bunch of my personal favourite positive songs, I can safely say and feel that I'm reassured that everything will be fabulous eventually. Because even the darkest nights end and the sun does rise. (end of preachy part)

So before I leave you all as I go and prepare for a birthday party, here is a short list of positive songs from fabulous musicians that shut out my mental doomsday bells:
  • Michael Buble- The Best Is Yet To Come, It's A Beautiful Day, When You're Smiling
  • Florence + The Machine- All This And Heaven Too, Heartlines, Bedroom Hymns
  • Ed Sheeran- You Need Me, I Don't Need You
  • Foxboro Hottubs- Mother Mary
  • Green Day- American Idiot, Castaway, Holiday, King For A Day...... anything really.
  • Jessica Lea Mayfield- Blue Skies Again
  • Jessie J- Price Tag
  • Lana Del Rey- Ride, Diet Mountain Dew
  • Little Boots- Remedy, New In Town
  • Sally Seltmann- On The Borderline, Dream About Changing, Book Song, You're Always,
But incidentally, the song "Doomsday" from the Doctor Who Series 1+2 Soundtrack is never a good song to have playing when your own doomsday bells are ringing..... trust me.

So until I next make a post, (I have a busy year ahead of me, so there may be delays with posts) I hope that your doomsday bells are silently tolling and that you all make positive discoveries.
Au revoir, Vivmarie1407
